DEMIS POV: We spent around 4 hours at the mall. Since Maddison left us alone every time she was looking through a store, Joe and I got to know each other a little better. Not that it mattered because after tonight's over, he's gonna go back to being the stupid selfish jerk he's always been. He dropped me off and drove away. What suck's is that he's a really great guy. He's funny, he care's about animals. Too bad he hides it. I opened the door and heard the TV in the living room. I smiled and walked over to my dad. "Hey." I greeted him, sitting down next to him. He smiled warmly at me. "Hey Sweetheart." He turned the TV volume down and looked at me. "So, are you and this guy a couple?" He asked me and my eyes widened. "No! He's a jerk!" My dad chuckled. "Calm down Demi. I was just asking." I nodded and turned my attention to the TV. Yep. I was expecting this. I just got pushed down by Joe and his friends. I looked up, expecting to see Joe laughing with his friends. But, he wasn't. He was looking down at me with sorry eyes. If he was sorry, he would help me up. I grabbed my science book, stood up, and ran inside the classroom. I can't believe I let myself get my hopes up for a day without bullying. One of the worst parts is, Joe is in this class with me.
